This is a fundraiser to raise money to subsidise ticket prices for young adults on low income to attend Wider Horizons gatherings, so it is open to all ages.
Join us we gather at this sacred threshold to honour the turning of the wheel, remember those who have gone before us and tend to grief while celebrating the harvest of our lives.
Through the four phases of The Work That Reconnects Spiral โ Gratitude, Honouring Our Pain for the World, Seeing with New/Ancient Eyes and Going Forth โ we will journey through song, drum, prayer, reflection and community, opening ourselves to ancestral wisdom and renewed hope.
We will share a ceremonial tea of mugwort, hawthorn, apple and rosemary, create offerings for the ancestral altar, and hold space for connection, remembrance and love as we honour the mysteries of life, death and renewal.
Led by Ben Ben of Wider Horizons and Emily Doe, The Dandelion Bard and Priestess in Training with The Bristol Goddess Temple, this gathering welcomes all who feel called to join this sacred circle; bring a drum or shaker if you wish, and a small sacred or personal item to place upon the Samhain altar.
Emily is an author and artist devoted to creating gentle spaces for people to connect to the power of their voice. She is a Priestess in Training at The Bristol Goddess Temple and facilitates singing circles and ceremonies to honour the Turning of the Wheel. Mugwort is contraindicated for some people so we will offer an optional tea as well.
The Work That Reconnects is an eco-therapy process, developed by the late, great Joanna Macy, to transform feelings of despair into active hope and vision for collaborative action. Ben Ben is the director of Wider Horizons and is a musician and Transpersonal Psychotherapist. @BenBenJiMusicโ ๐๏ธ
